This is yet another Dark Souls fan artwork of the character Gavlan, a trader. I like the style of this art because it really keeps the generally nice but not necessarily friendly ambiance of this character, but still uses their own style to keep it original. I like the aesthetic look of this work, though I believe the background could be lighter to contrast with the dark subject.
This is a painting by Milad Safabakhsh. I really like the monochromatic color scheme that this artwork includes. It reminds me of a double exposure edit in Photoshop, except Photoshop is most likely easier. This artwork really shows good contrast, having a light person leaving a dark area, which is really aesthetically appealing.
This is an artwork by the very popular artist M.C Escher. All of his artworks, including this one are very mathematical and use science. Most of his artworks use very monochromatic colors, mainly different shades of black and white. A lot of his artworks feature great examples of repetition He also takes a very simple approach when making this artwork.
This is another art piece by the artist and writer Alexius. This is an image from the web-comic Romantically Apocalyptic. I really like the artworks done for the comic, mainly for the large use of color contrast, especially with the color red. The red color always contrasts well with the usually dark background, and provides some vibrancy to the artworks.
This is yet another Dark Souls fan artwork. I like the style of this art because it really keeps the generally creepy but not necessarily scary ambiance of this boss, but still uses their own style to keep it original. I like the aesthetic look of this work, though I believe the background could be lighter to contrast with the dark subject.
This is a fan-art made by Harry Osborn of the game Dark Souls. This artwork makes the game seem a lot more epic then how you really are in the game, which is usually mildly depressing. So the part I really like about this artwork is the very vibrant use of color and the contrast the fire creates with the dark tree creature and background.
This is an artwork by Georgia O'Keeffe. She is known most popularly for her paintings of flowers, which are very realistic, so when you first look at them they look real. This artwork is not of flowers, but of the Black Mesa Mountains, I like the simplistic approach used, it looks realistic but you can still tell that it is a painting.
This is an artwork by the very popular artist Eric Carle. This is the very recognizable Very Hungry Caterpillar by Carle, he uses very monochromatic color schemes in his artworks, in this one he uses many different shades of green, which is my favorite color so I can appreciate it. He also takes a very simple approach when making this artwork.
This is yet another artwork by Carson Drew-It, He is one of my favorite non-world renowned artist. His artwork is always very simple and makes the original art seem way less depressing and scary then the original game, which really helps after you have played through the game like I have. The artistic approach he takes is one of my favorite aesthetic looks and like I said earlier makes it look way less threatening (Original Art Below)
